What Happens After You Hit Submit
1
You receive a survey via email or text
PatientIQ sends you a short, secure survey at key moments such as after a procedure, and at specific recovery milestones. Each survey is tailored to your condition and treatment.
2
Your responses are instantly secured
All data is encrypted and stored securely. Only your physician and care team can see your individual responses. Your information is never sold or shared with third parties.
3
Anonymized data builds the outcomes record
Your de-identified responses are combined with thousands of others to produce the patient outcomes statistics we publish – the same outcomes data available on our website.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really necessary for me to complete these surveys?
Yes, and here’s why it’s important. Your answers are the only way your care team knows how you feel between appointments. Clinical measurements tell one part of the story; how you feel day-to-day tells another. Both matter for great care. Surveys also inform future treatment decisions for patients with similar conditions.
Who will see my responses?
Only your physician and care team have access to your individual responses. Aggregated data used for outcomes reporting is fully anonymized – your name and personal information are never attached to any published statistics.
How long will the surveys take?
Most surveys take between 2 and 5 minutes. We work hard to ask only the most clinically meaningful questions, so your time is respected. The surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed anywhere.
Why am I receiving surveys months after my procedure?
Recovery from orthopedic conditions and procedures can span months or even years. Tracking your progress at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year gives a much more complete picture of long-term outcomes than a single post-op survey ever could. Each response matters.
What if I don't finish a survey?
Partial responses are still valuable. Answer as many questions as you can. You’ll receive a reminder if a survey goes incomplete, and you can return to finish it at any time before the survey window closes.
