Brent Hamblin, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Brent Hamblin, DPT, is an experienced physical therapist with a career spanning more than four decades. After earning his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 1982, Brent began his career in Las Vegas, Nevada, treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. He later relocated to Rancho Mirage, California, where he served as the designated outpatient orthopedic therapist at Eisenhower Medical Center. During his time there, he worked with a wide range of patients, including professional golfers, tennis players, and an AA professional baseball team.
In 1989, Brent returned to Utah to help launch a new outpatient clinic for Intermountain Health Care in the Avenues neighborhood near LDS Hospital. Over the next three decades, he helped grow the clinic into a leading destination for orthopedic physical therapy, collaborating closely with local high school athletic programs and leading community outreach for running-related care. Brent became a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 1994 and completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 2011.
Although he stepped away from full-time practice in 2020 to explore other interests, Brent returned to clinical care in 2024, joining The Orthopedic Partners. He takes great pride in helping patients regain strength and mobility after injury or surgery and enjoys the challenge of solving complex rehabilitation cases.
Brent lives in Cottonwood Heights with his wife and daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors, especially hiking, skiing, and other sporting adventures with his family.
